The PLATON Network
The PLATON Network (PLATON) is an interactive framework designed to connect oncologists across various hospitals and countries, facilitating comprehensive collaboration in clinical trials and personalized medicine. It achieves this through an integration of comprehensive molecular profiling, ongoing clinical trials, digital data access, and networking solutions, alongside associated educational and discussion structures.
PLATON's core components include an interactive, cloud-based WebApp, Network Design, a Molecular Pathology Case Discussion Board, and a BioDatabank. The WebApp empowers associated scientists to view and analyze current patient data, encompassing clinical, molecular, and quality of life aspects. It also facilitates communication with the treating physicians.
PLATON serves as an umbrella for subprojects or substudies, identifying suitable patients for ongoing biomarker-driven clinical trials and leveraging the existing Biodatabank for translational research projects.
